Deepika Padukone Steps Into Kareena Kapoor's Dancing Shoes For Item Number
If you thought Deepika Padukone was too big for an item number, think again. The actress will be seen shimmying in a revamped version of the Agent Vinod hit Raabta
Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan's 2012 spy thriller Agent Vinod was a forgettable film but one of the numbers from its soundtrack, Raabta, caught the audience's fancy. The romantic song which played in the background while Saif and Kareena escaped a shoot-out, will now be re-purposed in another film.

Dinesh Vijan who produced the Saifeena starrer has revamped the number as the title track of his upcoming film, Raabta, reported a tabloid.
The 2017 release stars Kriti Sanon and Sushant Singh Rajput but Dinesh recruited none other than Deepika Padukone for the song.
So, Deepika took a break from the filming of her maiden Hollywood flick, xXx: Return of Xander Cage, and flew to Budapest to shoot the item number.
The re-imagined Raabta has been mounted on a lavish scale, in a castle by a lake in the Hungarian capital.
The tabloid reported that the song has been remixed and will be an energetic tune with Deepika dancing to it.

Deepika has not done an item number in a long time now. The last time she made a special appearance in a song was the controversial title track of the 2011 film Dum Maro Dum which starred Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Prateik Babbar and Rana Daggubati.
Other than Deepika, Raabta has another claim to fame.
Even though Bollywood often borrows from the archives, this is the first time that a recent hit has been repurposed.
So will Deepika surprise us with her Raabta moves and usurp the thunder of begum Kareena?
